Still wet!

Well its still wet here with not a lot to do, So craftin and baking make the days go faster, Little man loves the baking and Mum is happiest when craftin!
So today I decide to play with some of my MME Chalk studio paper I brought a couple of weeks ago, It's really cute and makes the photos pop. The two photos I used are of little man at the Auckland zoo playing on the monkey ropes, I've coloured some chipboard  monkeys from Imagine if to carry my monkeying  around theme and stuck some MME stickers and washi tape to give it a bit of fun!

Wet and raining!!!

hello, It's raining and everything outside is real wet, we are starting to get a bit of mud around the cow trough and its a bit cold so after this I'm off to light the fire, so I hope its warmer where you are and you are enjoying some quality craftin time, today I just want to show you one of the journal pages I did for my friend, the instructions for this one were song lyrics and a tag somewhere on the page, I wanted to make this bright and sunny and I think it came out really happy looking.

Oh and the song I chose was rainbow connection,

Good morning!

Good morning, hope you all are having a wonderful Easter, today I have blog number three for Imagine if.... You've seen the boots/shoes we got sent but we also got lots of other delicious goodies in our craftiness bags, the chipboard die cuts are absolutely gorgeous, the bird cage is beautiful, the bars are thin but sturdy and the butterfly is so delicate looking but hold paint and embossing powders really well. On my two cards I did the same technique on both chipboard die cuts, first layer is some paint, on the cage I've used black and on the butterfly I've used Silks ginger peach. then I have use Stampin ups pewter embossing powder, then I have use UTEEs on my top layer. the UTEEs make the other embossing powder move around a bit so you get a glimpse of the paint in places underneath, with the black it makes it look a lot like metal but feels all smooth and nice, but on the butterfly I put a small layer of  Rubbadubbadoo's Poly Sparkle in between the pewter and Utees  and this has just added a hint of glitter on my butterfly and looks gorgeous. All quotes are from Imagine if.... and then I have complimented both with the softness of felt. Loving the felt, so soft and cuddly!!!!

and last week I showed you my boot that I randomly painted/stamped/embossed among other things, I have made a photo less lo with it, my background I just painted stripes with my watercolour paint then randomly stamped, then used a clean-up paper towel on top with a beautiful frame from Imagine if... and another inspirational quote. The end result is a very busy page that I quite like!!!

Well that's me for now, enjoy your Easter break

Number two!!!

Today I would like to show you my boot! Because I spent so much time doing my shoe mini I decided to keep this one simple, I painted my base egg shell white and then used distress crackle paint -rock candy- I used  distress ink vintage photo to make my cracks stand out a bit more, my heel I painted a brown then heat embossed a clear with a little glitter. ( a girl needs a little glitter) Then I have kept my embellishments simple and soft with a crochet doily and felt flowers with a quote from Imagine if 'Dreams' quote pages, the quote pages from Imagine if are just wonderful, I always seem to find a quote to go with whatever creation I'm making.

The second half I didn't add to my first shoe, And I was in one of those moods( someone pi$$ed me off) so I really let it have it, it has been textured pasted, sprayed with dylusions, randomly stamped I have even spattered a bit of embossing power on it ( purple splotches) But it stood up to it and I hope to use it on a scrap page latter on in the month. I hope you have enjoyed my second DT creation and have some ideas for you own shoe/boot.

Stepping out!!

Welcome to my first ever DT blog, Must admit I'm a little scared but here goes, Jo sent us a beautiful box of crafty goodness to play with and on top was our first must makes, one was a boot and the other was a shoe in pieces! I took one look and thought what have I done, can I do this DT thing! but after a few days of thinking, I was getting excited over the possibilities of what I could make, I decided my shoe was first, and I decided a mini it must become. I have used my oldest daughter for inspiration as she has more of a shoe fetish than me ( I have gummies and sneakers, no heels) As congratulation's  to myself for getting on the Imagine if design team I brought a Zutter binder and really needed to play! The cover is 3D from the pieces of chipboard that you get in the pack and I have use Kaisercraft's " Lady Rose" Papers, Such beautiful rich colours!
I have added ribbons, charms and feathers on the spine, and used liquid pearls for my pretty pearly dots on the inner edges of the shoe.
On my first two pages I have used some of the sticker quotes from my "Lady Rose" pack, and some of the felt flowers from Imagine if, now I was worried how I was going to use anything felt because I never have used it before, but I love the soft look and the lovely texture of the felt especially when added to something hard, like the metal flower underneath.
My next two pages are for some photos,  I have embellished with more felt flowers ( expect to see more of these, I'm in love with them) I  have used some frames from the family tree pack that were in my box of crafty goodness, and put sticker crowns over the top , then put inspirational words to fill in some gaps!
My last page I have put a small envelope with a bit of Velcro for any small mementoes that need to be kept, with some paper roses and a Prima resin bird, which I have added a small bit of colour using my perfect pearls and H2o'S
I hope you have enjoyed my first blog for Imagine if...
Please leave a comment and pop over to the other DT members blogs to see what they have been up to.
