My little Armoire!

Hello, and welcome back to my blog, this week I have a post for Imagine If, when I opened my parcel of goodies from Jo I was really happy to see the little Armoire (wardrobe) the first thing I thought of was flowers and lace but as you can see I changed my mind!
I wanted to make my Armoire into an old rusted top secret army box.

I've painted it army green by mixing paint until I liked the colour, then I have used a stencil to write 'top secret'  'keep out' and so on, then using a palate knife I have put Viva ferro paint in copper, once that dried I then applied watered down black acrylic paint and wiped some off just so it 'dirtied' my rust.

On the inside I have a photo of my son wearing an army helmet that I have poped into a piece of chipboard film strip.

Hope you have my little Armoire (wardrobe) and have a go at making one for yourself.

Mixed Media Card

Hello, Today I have a card I made for an 80th birthday,

I have used a piece of chipboard frame, the fern is from the Kiwi set and the small butterfly is from the butterfly stencil, I even got the beautiful flowers from Imagine If, then I have used some Lindy's spray and my new Inktense colouring pencils for a little more colour.

February already!

Hello and welcome to a quick post for Imagine If, First i would like to say congratulations to Margo for winning the Imagine If prize pack from my blog and congrats to all the others who won from the other design team members blogs.
This week I have made a valentines time layout (sort of) we don't usually do valentine day but I had a couple of photos of my Hubby and son that I really wanted to use, the photo were of us just playing with my new instax mini camera, and my son likes to take photos with it so he snapped one off of Dad.

For this layout I have hand drawn my heart and used that as my base, then I have used black modeling paste through the words stencil from Imagine If, then white modeling paste randomly through the circle stencil, once they were both dry I painted my heart with my Lindy's stamp gang spray and a brush, then sprayed a little Cafe' au lait to add a little colour.I've splatted a bit of red around, then written my journaling around the outside of my heart and I wrote the word love over my always. on top of my photos I have used a photo frame from Imagine If and a small heart to set it all off,
Thanks for dropping bye, see you next week,
Happy craftin
